Oh that was funny. And gross at the same time. I'm finding the new season a bit of a yawn though. My husband's comment was, "What's up with Don being all nice, faithful and decent now? And his wife is just perfect, it's so boring. That's not why we watch the show, we already get all that at home!"
See, I love that both Don and Betty are learning what it's like to be in adult relationships with other adults, as opposed to what they experienced inside of the gigantic childlike turd that was their marriage. Their new partners are making them attempt to act like better people. Now, though, the other parts of their lives that they once excelled at (Don : Advertising :: Betty : Physical Perfection) have gone to pot. Betty, jealous of the younger, thinner Mrs. Draper #3, resorts to manipulation through her own daughter, and Don sabotages Ginsberg's boards once he realizes that his year-long extended honeymoon has left him with rusty creative skills. I want to see whether Don/Betty's new insecurities will poison their happiness with Megan/Henry.
Since we're heading into the cultural shift of the late 1960's, I personally want to see more of Joanie handling the challenges of working single-motherhood, and I want to know more about Dawn and how she feels as the only African-American employee at SCDP.
Yes, just watched this last night - you guys cross the pond are way ahead of us...I love how they are not trying to make her more lovable - very brave....
